On the first Saturday of every month, if you take a gander on Instagram you see the hashtag #1day12pics. It’s the idea of Emma Davies who also runs the #BlogPhotoChat on Twitter every Thursday and has the most brilliant website Photography for Blogs (which you should all check out) as well has a host of other things. The idea is to take one photo roughly every hour, twelve times. It ends up being a really good record of the day. I joined in for the first time last month and had a great time, even though Dave was working that day and so myself and the kiddos had a very (very) long trip to the supermarket. The community on Instagram is great and it’s fantastic to see the progressions of everyone’s days throughout the world. Most people take their first picture at around 8am. Below are the photos I snapped in May’s #1Day12Pics. Will you come and join me this Saturday?

I’ll be joining in this Saturday! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your pic an hour last time. With it to be a lovely sunny day tomorrow it should be a good day to photograph.
