Floral Friday: Myddelton House Gardens

1 September, 2017 0 Comments

Do you have somewhere where you can go if you’re feeling down? Somewhere to calm the over-thinking brain, to fill a tired heart, to lift your soul? A happy place? Myddelton House Gardens in Enfield is my happy place. There’s something about being surrounded by gorgeous planting that’s so good for me. When you’ve been cooped up in the house on a rainy day, this is the place where we go. It’s a mood lifter for me and the kiddos and when you go on a damp day, you get the gardens all to yourself which is even better!

We hid under some trees during a shower and I made a mental note to bring a thermos of coffee. Again.

Pumpkins are almost ready! *insert excited autumnal squeal*

The gardens are looking great, although they are definitely, definitely winding down for the autumn now. Less showy flowers, more muted tones. Still worth visiting and enjoying though.
