Last Sunday saw celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Alexandra Palace. As it’s one of my most favourite places in London, if not my absolute favourite, I had to pop down to the park and raise a glass of Pimms to this most brilliant of places.
There were things happening all over the enormous park, from a steel band playing in the farmer’s market to a helter skelter and a celidh happening in the Grove. There was even piles of giant Jenga bricks scattered around for children to play with.
It was a great celebration and a wonderful atmosphere. Here’s to another 150 years!
