You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. – Khalil Gibran
Living Arrows – a portrait a week of my two children. We have had a most excellent weekend visiting friends in Somerset. First weekend away together in forever, walking lots, eating good food & lardy cake, drinking some very local cider, mooching around Glastonbury, but mostly it was about a little story of friends and the bonds they hold. Earlier in the year Betsy’s best friend Caspar moved to the west country (not on his own, with his parents, obv) and this weekend was the first time they had seen each other since the move. Casp and Boo have known each other since they were both a few months old and since then have been thick as thieves. There is a very special bond between these two and they’ve missed each other very much, but the wonderful thing about these types of friendships is that they pick up where they’ve been left and these two acted like the past four months have never happened and they have never been apart. Arthur had a pretty good time too. Lots, and lots of walking for him, mainly because I forgot to pack the sling or the buggy (not entirely sure how I managed that, but there you go). He seemed perpetually happy and just wanted to explore everywhere. He definitely loved the vibes that Glastonbury had!
