You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. – Khalil Gibran
Living Arrows – a portrait a week of my two children.
We have been doing some decorating this weekend – the kiddos new bedroom. I’ll talk about the room in more detail at a later date, needless to say I am excited about this room as the kids are. This is the first room we have decorated since moving into this house three years ago! The kids chose the paint colour and both helped paint the walls, both were actually really good at it. Betsy did the majority of the edging (she liked to stand on the ladder) and Arthur was really good with the roller (as long as he kept to one area. I may have had to repaint an area after he got a bit too enthusiastic).

Oh I love these pics of your little helpers. Amy always wants to help out when I’m doing something and while it always takes longer, it’s so nice to see her become more and more independent every time x #livingarrows

I’m hoping to decorate next month – although i’m not entirely sure about letting my kids help as we’ve not long had new carpets installed! it’ll be a disaster waiting to happen!
Karen, the next best thing to mummy
This took me back, many years ago, my then youngest son, aged 4, went to help, his painter/ decorator step dad, at work, an hour later, I received a phone call, mummy can you get a bath ready, I’ve fallen into the tray of paint! His clothes had to be thrown away#livingarrows

Wow, how grown up do they look? I don’t think I could ever let mine loose on the walls – high fives to you. They will always remember painting their very own bedroom. Love the black and white too! x
