You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
– Khalil Gibran
Two posts for the price of one! This week’s Living Arrows portrait also features in day four of my December Daily, so it seemed sensible to combine the two. We had a nice day on Friday. I like Fridays, I don’t work! In the morning we popped along to a local music group, Jack and Jill’s, where we danced a lot and sang and although it took a while for Arthur to warm up, he was soon running around and making friends with a dad behind me.
For lunch and to get some Christmas lights and festive wrapping paper, we drove over to Ikea. I think I am possibly the only person on the planet who enjoys shopping in that place. I’m thinking os starting a business where I can do your Ikea shopping for you. Will work for meatballs. Anyway, we ate, we lost a coat and had to run around the store looking for it, found the coat, tried all the bunk beds, bought things and then grabbed a coffee for me and an ice cream for the kids at the end. I told them they were only going to get one ice cream to share and I half expected Betsy to allow Arthur a couple of licks and then gobble the rest up herself, but actually she was brilliant. She shared nicely and all was quiet and calm and lovely which was great as a quite a bit of this week has not been like that at all!
