A Snowy Trent Park

Oh I do love it when it snows. Especially when it falls overnight and you wake up to a silent, beautiful white world.

I pretty much turn into a ten year old when it snows and have to go outside as soon as possible in order to play. So while dropping Betsy off at nursery today, I promised to take some pictures of the snow for her and Arthur and I drove up to Trent Park to have a look around.

One of the things I love about a snowy day I’d just how few people go out. We pretty much had the whole park to ourselves, which is unheard of, as it’s always full of dog walkers.

But this time we got to hear just my feet crunching in the snow, heard hundreds of little birds tweeting and a woodpecker tapping on the bark of a tree.

It wasn’t the longest if walks, both Arthur and I were super hungry so we popped into the park cafe for an average bacon sandwich and a coffee and were home by ten, but what a lovely hour we had and much needed too with both of us feeling under the weather.

So beautiful, I love the way snow falls on the trees but I wish it didn’t have to be so cold at the same time!

Terrific pictures and it can be really hard to photograph snow because the light is so difficult. Really enjoyed it – thank you!
