Very few pictures today, I was at work and photos are frowned upon. So a few sneaky mobile pictures is all you get. I do like the photos I’ve produced at home on the DSLR though.
Running and hiding when told he needs to get dressed.
The Pugin carpet along the committee corridor at my work, on the way to a meeting.
This soup is more than just soup. Well, technically it is just soup, a delicious beef and tomato soup, but I never really had soup until I moved into my new office earlier this year. But my new colleagues who have known each other for years love their soup and someone during the day will pop to one of the cafeterias and buy a round of soup for everyone. I started getting soup with them fairly recently and it’s lovely to feel part of something, albeit something small. They are such a great bunch of people and they feel like family in a weird way, I am the happiest I have ever been at work (and I’ve been working at the Commons for almost 16 years now).
Another quick snap of the committee corridor as I leave for home in the evening. I am a bit of an idiot for taking the photo right in front of a policeman. And not just the policeman, but in that group of people near the back is the Home Secretary, Theresa May. Ooops. I don’t get found out though, so stick that, The Man! I am concentrating so much on the photo though, that I miss the entrance to the lift to get out, end up walking down a random corridor trying to play it cool, get lost (this place is like Hogwarts) and end up though a door that takes me back to the committee corridor and right in front of Mrs May. She gives me a funny look as I go past.
Smelling the lilacs in the rain as I walk home. Funny weather today, mostly raining, but muggy too.
By the time the kids get home, they are knackered. Arthur is so tired he can’t eat dinner and screams for ten minutes while I try and cook for everyone and eventually I take him up to bed, he falls asleep pretty quickly, poor lamb.
