And here we are for another week. Another meal plan, something I am finding myself more reliant on these days and I’m really loving the little Sunday ritual now of sitting down and looking through recipe books and rooting through the freezer. One of the recipe books I think we’ll be looking through most weeks is the one I mentioned last week – Easy Family recipes by Ella’s Kitchen. Betsy has absolutely loved going through this book and the meals we cooked last week from it were lovely, the curry being a real hit, something we are going to make again very soon! As tempting as it was to make this week’s plan all hot cross buns and chocolate (please tell me we’re not the only family having them for breakfast?) here’s what we’re having:

Monday – Beans on toast. Slightly manic day with not much time for cooking, plus by dinnertime, the kiddos were pooped and wouldn’t have eaten anything else.
Tuesday – Lamb meatballs and rice. We didn’t have the meatballs last week for some reason, so they’re back on! That mince isn’t going to eat itself.
Wednesday – Seaside fish and chips. This is from Ella’s Kitchen, chosen by Betsy. Basically homemade fish goujons.
Thursday – Jerk chicken. Another Ella’s Kitchen recipe! Served with sweet potato wedges.
Friday – BBQ, if the weather is good!

  1. You’re so good to keep your meal plan going. I’ve now gone back to work (two weeks in) so I need to get organised with a meal plan – your week sounds pretty good and no, you’re not the only family enjoying hot cross buns for breakfast!
