Well it’s been rather foodie around here recently. We’ve had BBQs and discovered beef burnt ends (oh my word, some of the tenderest meat I have ever eaten, you need to try this!) and that Betsy absolutely loves spare ribs. I think a trip to Bodeans is in order! I’m continually harvesting rhubarb and have a lovely compote on the go with ginger added and will be added to my morning porridge. Elly Pear’s new cookbook, Let’s Eat is out and we’ve made a couple of things from it – the cannellini bean stew is made and ready for my lunches at work and the kiddos absolutly love making the flatbreads. They’ve been so popular they’re on this week’s menu too.

Monday – Fish and sweet potato chips
Tuesday – Ginger chicken and roasted squash
Wednesday – Veggie sausages and mash (if I remember I’ll roast off more squash than I need for tomorrow and add that to the potato today)
Thursday – Tomato soup and cheese toasties
Friday – Homemade flatbreads, hummous, prawns and other random stuff like carrot sticks.
