Photos, food, craft, the great outdoors, celebrating the seasons and more photos.

Hello! I’m Charlotte, based in north London. I live up here in suburbia with the long suffering Dave who (very tolerantly) puts up with all my half made craft projects, (literally) half baked cake ideas and long blogging musings. Joining us in October 2011 was Betsy and Arthur followed in May two years later. We have a cat too, Marvin, who is just as much a part of this family as anyone else. Once a chef, now a video editor, website type person for the UK Parliament, I have been blogging on and off for many years, but this blog has stuck around and will be around for a good while yet! Baking Betsy is a record of my time as a mother and the adventures we have as a family. Sometimes the adventures are big, but mostly they are of the smaller type, the everyday adventures that are treasured and kept here for Betsy and Arthur to read when they’re older. We explore the area around us and further away, cook and make crafts while I take many, many photos.

Please feel free to contact me and say hello at

Great idea! I’m doing the same for my kids. They do wonder about their earlier years (they are now in school) and I wished I’d gotten started earlier on the blog. You forget so many things and it’s a lovely memory-keeper.
