You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. – Khalil Gibran

At the pick your own farm - Living Arrows We popped over to our local pick your own farm last weekend in order to get some strawberries for a party we were hosting. It’s still quite early in the season for Parkside farm, but there were plenty of things to pick – just strawberries at the moment, along with some spinach and Swiss chard, but the tomatoes look full of promise for later in the year. I think we are going to have to go back later in the summer so we can get on with a bit of jam making. It’s not the cheapest way to get fresh fruit, it seems to be a bit more than what you would pay for in supermarkets, but you are also paying for a good experience too and it’s the best way to get my kids excited about fresh produce. 1. Picking strawberries is such a highlight of the summer! I’ve never been to a PYO farm with strawberries raised like that, great idea! x
