Living Arrows 157

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. – Khalil Gibran

Living Arrows – a portrait a week of my two children.

I swear every time I post a picture of Arthur his face is filthy. He gets washed sometimes, I promise! But it doesn’t matter what he drinks or eats, he always manages to get it all over this face. Just like his Mama!

This weekend has been packed full of cleaning, food shopping and a million (okay, two) parties for Betsy. While Boo was at one of these parties, Arthur and I explored a local park, Hilly Fields, while we waited for Betsy to return. Hilly Fields is a lovely park. There are fields (obv, and they’re hilly!) and trees and Turkey Brook runs through it all. It’s a place to wander and get lost. I followed Arthur’s lead as we walked, stopping at every bench for a few seconds rest before moving to the next one, throwing sticks into the river and walking miles and miles. I absolutely love this stage of never-ending curiosity, may it never end.

Oh bless his little grubby face! It must be nice to have time with him by himself – but so weird not having Betsy in the photos! x

The curiosity that little ones have is just amazing isn’t it!
