A misty morning walk

20 November, 2016 18 Comments

You know how on some days you wake up and the day feels just a bit magical? It felt like that on Halloween morning, the day covered in a thick fog and I felt an urge to capture it. So after dropping Betsy off at school, Art and I went over to Myddelton House Gardens to have a walk and an explore. Oh, and you know, take some photos too.

The fog had gone by the time we arrived at the gardens, but that didn’t stop the place feeling lovely and we had the glorious autumn sun to warm our faces with.

That massive trunk you see climbing up the wall in the photo above? That’s a hydrangea! I never knew they could even grow so big! It must be so old.

So many beautiful sights and colours – it looks like the walk was greatly enjoyed! Autumn is one of my favourite times to get out and about exploring, especially with camera and toddler in tow!

Such gorgeous photos! I love this time of year, everything looks so beautiful. That hydrangea trunk looks like something out of a horror movie though – a giant spider creeping round the wall! #MarvMondays

Looks like a wonderful autumnal morning for a walk. I can not believe that hydrangea, it’s like it’s trying to hug the wall, would love to see the size of the blooms it produces.
